I'm Bia, a student from the American School in London. This past summer, I organized a art workshop in a impoverished community in Manaus, Brazil. The area lacked safe spaces for children, and I saw a chance to make a difference. Through art workshops, I empowered 20 local kids to express their concept of 'home' through their paintings. These artworks are now being sold to raise funds for a much-needed community center upstairs from their local church. By transforming a bare room into a vibrant gathering space, we're creating a safe haven for the community's youth.
